Earlier this year, Cole and I met in a hip little coffee shop in downtown Lansing to talk about all the perfect details of he and Marcus’ June wedding. He told me the story of how he and Marcus live in different states, and flying to New Orleans every couple weekends is really no big deal. He told me their plans to incorporate Mardi Gras fun into their wedding, including a second line parade into the end of their ceremony that would lead everyone up to the cocktail hour. He told me he wanted drone coverage for the parade.

It all sounded real good and I couldn’t WAIT to be a part of it. Being a wedding vendor is kind of like hoping someone picks you in a round of dodgeball in Middle school sometimes. You know there’s other kids standing next to you, real good kids, giving the best game face they can give- and you just hope you’re the one they want. I was the one they wanted, and I was just so happy these two picked me to shoot their day because I KNEW how great it was going to be.

All said and done and watching this film back, I loved every bit of it. All the details, the way the parade went down, shoot, even the pouring rain added a little element to the day in it’s own way!

Thank you Cole and Marcus for trusting me and my crew to be your film team. This is one I’ll always treasure being a part of!
