“For over a year we had this date of May 23rd in our heads. We never would have guessed that having a wedding in 2020 would be such an ordeal – we were thinking we had chosen a great year for easy anniversary math. In early April, we came to the realization that our big day would have to be postponed. It was disappointing, and a difficult decision after all of the effort that went into the initial planning. But we picked a new date, watched some Tiger King, and waited.

“Change the date” cards were sent, the website was updated, and the plans were reworked… a few times. Leading up to the new date, we still weren’t 100% convinced we were going to be able to pull it off. Then the day of the wedding finally came. It was perfect. “The best party all year” as some of our guests put it. Now that may not mean as much in 2020, but it was certainly a day of great joy during these trying times. Our family and friends went out of their way to make the day special for us and we couldn’t imagine our wedding going any other way.”
